Seleksi Dan Uji Kemampuan Daya Antagonis Bakteri Rizosfer Tanaman Pisang (Musa Paradisiaca L.) Terhadap Jamur Fusarium Oxysporum F. Sp. Cubens Dan Karakterisasinya
ABSTRACT
The rhizosphere is a habitat for various kinds of soil microorganisms, both
beneficial and parasitic. The availability of nutrients released by root exudates is
an important reason for the presence of these microorganisms, besides the
rhizosphere is also an entry point for soil pathogens. This study aims to obtain,
select and test the rhizosphere bacteria which have the antagonist ability to
Fusarium oxysporum f.sp. cubense (Foc) and to know the characteristics of each
isolate. This research was carried out at the Plant Pathology Laboratory, Faculty
of Agriculture, Riau University from March until May 2021. This study used an
exploration method (Isolation of banana plant rhizosphere bacteria), experimental
method (Test of antagonistic of rhizosphere bacteria against Foc) and observation
method (Hypersensitivity Test and characterization of rhizosphere bacteria). The
data obtained in the experimental method were analyzed for variance with the
DNMRT further test at the 5% level. The data obtained by the observation method
were analyzed descriptively. The results obtained 10 isolates of rhizosphere
bacteria which were differentiated by color, shape, edge and surface of the colony.
There were 4 isolates of rhizosphere bacteria which has antagonists ability to Foc,
including R7 (21.33%), R6 (21.17%), R9 (20.67%) and R3 (19.50%). The four of
bacterial isolates showed a negative hypersensitivity reaction. The four isolates of
banana plant rhizosphere bacteria showed positive reactions in gram test, oxydase
test and gelatin hydrolysis test.
