Gambaran Histologi Ginjal Tikus Putih (Rattus Novergicus Barkenhout 1769) Yang Diinduksi Aloksan Setelah Pemberian Jus Alpukat (Persea Americana Mill.)

Avocado (Persea americana mill) has been widely used by the public as herbal medicine,
especially to bind free radicals that enter the body. This study aimed to analyze the effect
of avocado (Persea Americana) juice in repairing alloxan-induced kidney cell damage in
Rattus novergicus rats. The research method used in this study is an experimental method
with a completely randomized design. The sample was divided into 5 treatments, a dose
of 7.2 g/kg BW (P2), and a dose of 10.8 gr/kg BW (P3). Histological preparation using
paraffin method and HE staining. The results showed that giving avocado juice extract
with different doses made the kidneys look normal. Which is characterized by a kidney
shape that looks like a pea and is brownish red in color. The treatment of K+ and K- was
different from the treatment of P1, P2, P3. The P3 treatment showed a lower percentage
of cell damage than the avocado juice extract treatment. It is suspected that the secondary
metabolic content in avocado extract can reduce cell damage to the kidneys.
