Efek Ekstrak Alami Seledri (Apium Graveolensl. Var. Sylvester) Terhadap Struktur Mikroskopis Ginjal Tikus Putih (Rattus Norvegicus Berkenhout 1769) Galur Wistar Diinduksi Aspirin
Herbal plants can be used as a treatment option, including for the
treatment of kidney disease. Giving herbal medicine such as celery is an
alternative healing treatment that is more natural and safe. This study aims to
determine the effect of giving celery extract in repairing damage to kidney cells of
white rats induced by aspirin. This study used a completely randomized design
(CRD) consisting of 5 group 3 replicates: K- (aspirin 12.6 mg/kg BW), K+
(normal feed), Aspirin 12.6 mg/Kg BW was given once and for 7 days was given
natural celery extract at a dose of 50 mg/kg BW (P1), 100 mg/Kg (P2), and 200
mg/kg BW (P3). The results of the analysis of the percentage of glomerular cell
damage such as the occurrence of narrowing of the Bowmen's space, the
occurrence of necrosis, and pyknosis. The administration of celery extract with
different doses showed a decrease in cell damage in the observation of the
microscopic structure of Bowmani's capsule in each treatment (P1, P2 and P3)
which was significantly different from the control. It is possible that the content
contained in natural extracts of celery can capture free radicals in the Bowmani
capsule tissue.
