ABSTRACT
Smoke, Temperature and Current Detector in Cables as a processor is useful to
help the public to identify the quality of the cable to avoid fire due to short circuit
and can be used as a test tool that is able to measure cable endurance. This tool is
equipped with Arduino Uno as a control center to process sensor data for
measuring current, temperature and smoke which is displayed on a 16×2 LCD as
measurement information. If the detected temperature exceeds the Pset (maximum
temperature value), the maximum cable current value will be detected by the
sensor when the cable reaches the maximum temperature indicated by an active
temperature indicator light and the buzzer lights up intermittently. If the MQ-2
sensor detects smoke marked by the ADC value reaching the threshold value (the
set ADC Limit value), the buzzer will be activated continuously, and the smoke
LED will light up, then the system will disconnect the load from the mains voltage
source automatically.
