Quality Of Service Jaringan Wireless Di Smks Yapim Mandau Duri

ABSTRACT
Wireless network is a wireless network that uses air as a transmission medium with a
medium in the form of electromagnetic waves. Yapim Mandau-Duri Vocational High
School, is a private vocational high school with its address at kilometer 8 thorn road.
at the Yapim Mandau-Duri Vocational School, the signal coverage distance and
speed may be disrupted due to several factors, such as the transmission range is not
too far away and the barrier in the form of thick walls that hinders signal
transmission at the Yapim Mandau-Duri Vocational School. To find out the quality of
the existing network at the Yapim Mandau-Duri Vocational School, network quality
measurements must be carried out using the Quality Of Services (QoS) parameter,
QoS is a method of measuring how good the service quality is from the existing
network, the parameter used is Throughput. has been obtained at each Access Point
in three distance ranges, it can be concluded that the highest average Throughput
value is in Access Point two with a value of 321 bps, while Access Point one gets an
overall Throughput average value of 242 bps, for the highest average overall packet
loss value is at access point two, which is 1.1%, while access point one gets an
overall average value of 1.0%, for the highest overall average delay value is at
Access Point one. with a value of 32.0215 ms and the second access point gets a
value of 19.9635 ms. So the researchers concluded that access point two has a better
network quality than access point one, this is caused by several factors including
access point one being blocked by many thick walls, natural conditions such as rainy
weather when testing network quality, and distance range.
