Perancangan Manajemen Bandwidth Menggunakan Dynamic Queue Pada Btn Kantor Cabang Kota Batam
ABSTRACT
With the development of technology, the speed of access to information is
increasingly needed. This must be directly proportional to the speed of internet
access. The network is not only connected but need to be stable, fast and smooth
too. Bandwidth adjustments are very important to control bandwidth usage that
used by each employee or customer so that they do not experience long loading
times in accessing the internet due to bandwidth limitations. Therefore, it is
necessary to build a system that divides the bandwidth for each employee of an
organization/office using a router. This research is done to made a bandwith
management system that divide the bandwidth of 30 Mbps for employees and 20
Mbps for customers at the Bank Tabungan Negara (BTN) of Batam City. This can
be done by using the Peer Queue Connection (PCQ) method with the Dynamic
queue function on the Mikrotik routerboard, where every user who accesses the
internet will get an equal bandwidth allocation on the LAN network for employee
users and wifi network for customer users. So it is necessary to design a
bandwidth management using a dynamic queue so that the downstream speed is in
accordance with the internet access restrictions used at the BTN office for each
employee and customer user. The test results show that the highest total
bandwidth during the test time is on the third day of Wednesday morning with
27.5 Mbps and the highest total bandwidth for customers is on Friday afternoon
with 8.75 Mbps. The lowest total bandwidth for employees is on Monday
morning with a total of 23.34 Mbps and the lowest total bandwidth for customers
is also on Monday morning with a total of 6.68 Mbps.
