Manajemen Bandwidth Menggunakan Metode Simple Queue Di Jeber Cafe Pekanbaru
ABSTRACT
Wireless network is a wireless network that uses air as a transmission medium with a medium in the form
of electromagnetic waves. Jeber café is a place to relax and talk for all ages (young people and parents)
in addition to providing a comfortable place this café also provides a wifi network that can be accessed
by all jeber café visitors who come. In jeber café which is an obstacle at this time is the internet
connection available is unstable, resulting in visitors who are just logging into the wifi network
experiencing difficulties and often buffering for quite a long time. This is because there is no bandwdith
division (bandwidth management) so that usage between users is uneven. For this reason, the need for
bandwidth management as a controller of information exchange in a computer network, so as to avoid
unwanted things that result in slowing down the path of data packets and resulting in a decrease in
network capabilities. After management on bandwidth, it will be known the quality of the network using
the Quality of Service (QoS) parameters as a method of measuring how well the quality of service of an
existing network. To find out the quality of the network on Jeber Cafe, testing on the parameters used is
Throughput, Delay, Packet loss. The highest throughput of 1034 bps occurred on Monday afternoon, for
the highest average value of Delay of 23,474 ms that occurred on Tuesday night, for the highest average
value packet loss of 2.78% that occurred on Saturday night. Then researchers can conclude from the test
results, that the network quality qualification at Jeber Cafe becomes Very Good based on TIPHON
standards from each QoS parameter.
