The formulation of the problem in this study is what is the role of parents in guiding their children to carry out online learning in the Covid-19 atmosphere at the Yapim Siak Upstream Private Vocational School? This study aims to determine the role of parents in guiding their children to carry out online learning in an atmosphere of Covid-19 19 at the Yapim Siak Hulu Private Vocational School. This study has 4 indicators (1) educators, (2) drivers, (3) facilitators, (4) mentors. This research is descriptive with a qualitative approach. Qualitative descriptive research is used to examine the condition of natural objects. By using a qualitative approach, the purpose of this study was to find out and analyze how well the role of parents in guiding their children to carry out online learning in the Covid-19 atmosphere at Yapim Siak Hulu Private Vocational High School. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the role of parents in guiding their children to carry out online learning at the Siak Hulu Private Vocational School can be seen that the role of parents as mentors for their children at home is that parents can act as teachers during learning from home for their children. The purpose of parents acting as teachers is an activity carried out by a person in order to provide assistance to others who are experiencing difficulties, so that person is able to overcome himself with full awareness. This must be done by parents in order to know the character of their children during the learning process, parents can also provide guidance, encouragement, motivation to their children while studying, and be able to overcome their children's learning difficulties during learning from home. The role of parents in guiding their children is as an educator, encouragement, facilitator and mentor..
