Perubahan Status Cagar Budaya Masjid Raya Senapelan Pekanbaru (2009-2017)

Cultural Conservation has 5 categories, where these categories can affect changes in the status of cultural heritage based on various categories, the 5 categories of cultural heritage are: objects, buildings, structures, sites, and areas. Based on these categories, the Senapelan Pekanbaru Grand Mosque has changed its cultural heritage status based on its category, namely from the category of cultural heritage buildings to cultural heritage structures. Changes in the status of the Pekanbaru Senapelan Grand Mosque Cultural Heritage occurred due to the revitalization which resulted in physical changes to the Senapelan Pekanbaru Grand Mosque building. The revitalization of the Senapelan Grand Mosque in Pekanbaru took place from 2009 to 2017.
This study discusses (1) the background of the change in the cultural heritage status of the Senapelan Mosque, Pekanbaru; (2) The role of policy makers in renovating the Senapelan Mosque, Pekanbaru; (3) the process of changing the status of the Pekanbaru Senapelan Grand Mosque Cultural Conservation; (4) Changes to the Senapelan Grand Mosque in Pekanbaru in 2009-2017. This type of research is historical research with descriptive method, namely describing answers through observation, interviews, documentation and literature study. The results of the study indicate that the Senapelan Grand Mosque in Pekanbaru is still a cultural heritage protected by Law No. 11 of 2010 concerning cultural heritage and Riau Province Regional Regulation No. 15 of 2013.
