ABSTRACT
Panipahan village has a territorial waters that is directly near to the waters of the
malacca strait in the east and waters of labuhan batu, north sumatra in the west.
The work of the majority in community is fishermen so that many economic
commodities. The geography location which is only 115 km form neighborhood
of country make fish a quality material of export. The marine fish processing
center is present as a place for fishermen to sell their marine catches, some types
of fish will be direct packaged and other types will be processed into salted fish
and shrimp paste. The marine fish processing center has a function as s fish
storage area, fish processing, fish research and then fish auction place. The
implementation of biomimicry architecture, we are able to create relationship
between architecture and nature by considering and applying natural strategies
into building design. The Concept of "The fish looking for food" will be
transformed with a biomimicry architectural approuch, this building has an
architectural quality that can accommodate all types of activities in terms of
production and maintenance of marine fish.
