Pengaruh Empati Dan Efikasi Diri Terhadap Kinerja Guru SMK Negeri Di Kabupaten Indragiri Hilir
This study aims to determine and analyze the effect of Empathy and Self-Efficacy on the performance of State Vocational High School teachers in Indragiri Hilir Regency. The population of this research is the teachers of State Vocational Schools in Indragiri Hilir Regency, totaling 196 teachers. The sample in this study amounted to 131 State Vocational School teachers in Indragiri Hilir Regency. Sampling in this study was carried out by simple random sampling technique, because the sampling of the population was carried out randomly without regard to the existing strata in this population. The types of data from this study are primary data for the Empathy variable and the Self-Efficacy variable obtained from teachers using a questionnaire and secondary data for the teacher performance variable using the PKG scores of State Vocational High School teachers in Indragiri Hilir Regency. The data analysis technique in this study is descriptive statistical analysis and inferential statistical analysis using path analysis with the help of SPSS.
The results of the study obtained a significant influence between empathy on teacher performance. In addition, there is a significant effect of self-efficacy on teacher performance, and empathy and self-efficacy together have an influence on the performance of State Vocational High School teachers in Indragiri Hilir Regency. the results of this study can be concluded that the better the teacher's empathy and self-efficacy, the better the teacher's performance will be. Teachers with a higher attitude of empathy will interact more harmoniously in the work environment so that it will improve teacher performance. Self-efficacy can affect a person's performance. The higher the teacher's self-efficacy, the more the teacher's performance will increase.
From the conclusions that have been described, it can be suggested to the principal and parties related to the management of school institutions to further improve and strengthen empathy for teachers. Then to the principal and parties related to the management of school institutions in order to improve and strengthen self-efficacy in teachers.
