Isolasi Dan Aktivitas Antibakteri Aktinomisetes Endofit Dan Rizosfer Dari Tanaman Sentul (Sandoricum Koetjape (Burm.F.) Merr.)
Sentul plant (Sandoricum koetjape (Burm.f.) Merr.) It has chemical compounds that
have the potential to be antibacterial. Actinomycetes have the ability to produce
secondary metabolite compounds that have antagonistic properties to bacteria. The
spread of actinomycetes is very wide in the rizosphere, which is around the rooting
area of the plant. Actinomycetes are also found in the endophyte, which is in plant
tissues such as leaves, bark, and roots. The purpose of the study was to isolate and
determine the antibacterial activity of endophyte and rizosphere an actinomycetes
and rizospheres from the sentul plant (Sandoricum koetjape (Burm.f.) Merr.).
Isolation of endophyte actinomycetes with surface sterilization method and
rizosphere with pour plate method using medium Starch Casein Agar (SCA) with
an incubation period of two weeks. Isolates are characterized macroscopically and
microscopically with gram staining. Antibacterial activity tests against Escherichia
coli bacteria are performed using the agar disc method. The results of the study
obtained seven isolates of actinomycetes isolated from the rizosphere of the sentul
plant (Sandoricum koetjape (Burm.f.) Merr.). While from the isolation of
endophyte actinomycetes, no growth of actinomycetes was found. The results of
the antibacterial activity test obtained five isolates with the largest to smallest of
21,27 mm (SR5), 19,44 mm (SR7), 19,05 mm (SR1), 18,03 mm (SR2) and 17,26
mm (SR6).
