In organizing general elections and related organizers or implementers in the government and political parties participating in the general elections, election supervisors and observers, including voters, as well as all parties indirectly involved, must behave and act honestly in accordance with the applicable laws and regulations. The quality of democracy is not only regulated on the level of participation, but also the implementation of the principle of honesty, the indicators of which are money politics contracts. In a democratic party, of course, there will be various forms of fraud, one of which is related to money politics or what is often called money politics. However, the problem in this research is related to the offense of money politics as an attempted criminal act in the simultaneous local elections. The formulation of the problem in this study is first, how is the problem in proving the attempted offense of money politics in the implementation of the simultaneous regional election, second, how is the idea of expanding the offense of money politics as an attempted criminal act in the simultaneous regional election associated with efforts to realize a democratic simultaneous election. The methodology in this study uses normative legal research on the application of trial articles on criminal acts in money politics offenses in the simultaneous regional elections which will later be analyzed using a positive legal inventory, research on legal principles and multidisciplinary legal research in legal analysis with reference to norms. the law contained in the legislation. The results of the study concluded that the problems in proving the attempted crime of money politics were due to the different points of view of the apparatus in understanding article 53, the intervention against the apparatus, non-cooperative actors, and the election law did not cover the whole thing in detail. The idea is that the expansion of money politics offenses is expected to provide a uniform understanding of law enforcement officers in understanding an offense that has always had different views.
