Faktor Penentu Motivasi Belajar Siswa Pada Mata Pelajaran Ekonomi Di Sma Negeri Kecamatan Tambang
Motivation in learning is a driving force in students who can foster better
learning activities and ensure the continuity of learning activities and provide
direction to learning activities, so that the desired goals can be achieved. Factors
that influence this motivation can be grouped into two categories of factors,
namely external and internal factors. Internal factors that can affect the level of
motivation to learn are ideals and aspirations, student abilities, and student
conditions, while external factors are factors in student learning environment
conditions.
This study aims to analyze the determinant factors that affect the level of
student motivation in SMA Negeri Tambang District, which is determined by the
factors of aspirations, student abilities, student conditions and learning
environment.
The population of this study were 289 students of class XI majoring in
Social Sciences (IPS) with 158 samples taken. The sampling technique was done
by simple random sampling. Data collection was done by using a questionnaire
technique. The data analysis stage begins with descriptive analysis, then the
ordinal to interval scale transformation process is carried out with the Method of
Successive Interval (MSI) which is then carried out with multiple regression
analysis. Data processing is done with the help of SPSS version 25.0 for windows.
The results showed that the students' learning motivation in studying
Economics at the State Senior High School in Tambang District was high and
needed to be maintained. This result is thought to be influenced by the aspiration
factor of students in studying Economics at SMA Negeri Tambang Subdistrict
which is classified as high, as well as student learning abilities, including the
condition of students in the learning process activities and the situation of the
student learning environment in the learning process activities in Economics
subjects at SMA Negeri Kecamatan Mines are classified as good so they need to
be maintained. The good of these factors triggers the emergence of good learning
motivation so as to provide higher learning motivation.
The results showed that the aspiration variable was proven to have a partial
effect on students' learning motivation with a percentage of 9.9% influence, then
the student's ability variable was also proven to have a partial effect on students'
learning motivation with a 4.3% influence percentage, and the student condition
variable was also proven to have a significant effect. partial effect on students'
learning motivation with a percentage of 5.6% influence and the learning
environment variable also proved to have a partial effect on students' abilities
with a percentage of 9.7% influence. Overall, the contribution of the aspiration

variable, student ability, student condition, and learning environment to student
learning motivation is 64.1%, while the remaining 35.9% is influenced by other
variables not included in this research model.
