Abstract
Shrimp pond cultivation was one of the appropriate fisheries business sectors to
improve the economic level of the community, especially the Bengkalis community.
The Independent Generation Production Cooperative was one of the cooperatives that
cultivate shrimp ponds in Teluk Pambang, Bengkalis Regency. The type of shrimp
that is cultivated in this cooperative was the Vanname Shrimp (Litopenaeus
vannamei). The cultivation of vannamei shrimp (Litopenaeus vannamei), often
known as white shrimp has very promising business prospects. In addition to a
relatively short cultivation time of about 90 days, its disease resistance was also
stronger. The vanname shrimp pond aquaculture business in the Independent
Generation Production Cooperative was started in 2017. This research was carried out
at the Independent Generation Production Cooperative in July 2017. The research
method used in this study is a case study. Data and data sources used by researchers
are primary data and secondary data. The results of this study indicate that net income
from the 3rd year until the 8th year is positive. while on the feasibility of the
business, based on the technical aspects seen from the SR and FCR values, it can be
declared feasible. On the aspects of management and organization was quite feasible.
in the aspect of market and marketing, there were several categories that are not
feasible. On the financial aspect, the business was feasible based on the analysis of
the BEP value and R/C Ratio, the NPV value is 717.062.694 (> 0), Net BC/R is 1,07,
IRR is 19% with PP 4,32.
