Peningkatan Hasil Bawang Merah (Allium Ascalonicum L.) Di Bahan Tanah Ultisol Yang Dipupuk Dengan Trichokompos Kotoran Sapi Dan Urine Sapi Terfermentasi
ABSTRACT
Shallots are horticultural crops that have an important role as the Indonesian trade
vegetable commodities, one of which is used as a kitchen spice. The low
productivity of shallots in Riau Province is caused by the use of poor planting
media such as Ultisol. Whereas Ultisols land has the potential to be developed in
Riau. Ultisols soil constraints include the very low content of organic matter,
which causes low productivity levels. Efforts that can be made to improve the soil
fertility of Ultisols include the provision of trichocompost cow dung and
fermented cow urine. This study aims to increase the yield of shallots grown on
Ultisol soil by giving trichocompost cow dung and fermented cow urine. The
study was carried out from November 2020 to March 2021 with a factorial
completely randomized design (CRD) in a greenhouse. The first factor was the
dose of tricompost cow dung 10, 15, and 20 ton.ha-1 and the second factor was the
dose of fermented cow urine of 0, 50, 100 and 150 mL per plant. The results
showed that there was no interaction between trichocompost cow dung and
fermented cow urine on the growth and production components of shallots in
Ultisol soil material. The trichocompost cow dung factor affected to plant height,
harvest age, and dry weight of shallot bulbs per clump, while the fermented cow
urine affected to the number of leaves per clump and wet bulb weight per clump
of shallots.
Keywords: shallots, ultisol soil material, trichocompost cow dung, fermented cow
urine.
