Status Resistensi Nyamuk Aedes Aegypti Terhadap Permethrin 0,75% Di Kelurahan Tangkerang Timur Kecamatan Tenayan Raya Kota Pekanbaru
Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) is a disease that cause a serious problem around the
world. This disease is caused by virus dengue which is transmitted through Aedes aegypti.
There are many ways to control this mosquitoes, one of them is using an insecticides.
However, the use of insecticide can cause resistance to mosquitoes if not used properly. The
purpose of this study was to determine the resistance status of Aedes aegypti to 0,75%
permethrin in Tangkerang Timur Urban Village Tenayan Raya Sub-District Pekanbaru City.
This study used an observasional laboratory method with cross sectional design. It was
conducted from July 2021 until January 2022. This study used 120 mosquitoes of aged 3-5
days as samples. The procedure test of this study used World Health Organization (WHO)
insecticide susceptibility test which using impregnated paper 0,75% permethrin. This study
showed that the mortality of Aedes aegypti to 0,75% permethrin after 24 hours exposure
was 85%, so that Aedes aegypti from Tangkerang Timur Urban Village Tenayan Raya Sub-
District Pekanbaru City is resistance to permethrin 0,75%.
