Hubungan Sejarah Perkembangan Nahdlatul Ulama Dengan Masyarakat Daerah Transmigrasi Di Kabupaten Kuantan Singingi (1981-2019)

Nahdlatul Ulama is one of the largest Islamic organizations in Indonesia,
established on January 31, 1926 AD or coinciding with 16 Rajab 1344 H. This
study discusses the relationship between the development of Nahdlatul Ulama and
the role of the transmigration community in Kuantan Singingi Regency, which is
one part from Riau Province on Sumatra Island. The purpose of this study is to
find out: 1) The beginning of Nahdlatul Ulama's entry into or known by the
transmigration community. 2) The role of the transmigration community in the
development of Nahdlatul Ulama in Kuantan Singingi Regency. 3) Development
of Nahdlatul Ulama in 1981-2019. 4) Challenges in the development of Nahdlatul
Ulama in Kuantan Singingi Regency. 5) The impact of the development of
Nahdlatul Ulama on the transmigration area community in Kuantan Singingi Regency.
In this study, the author uses historical research methods, which include 1)
Heuristics, 2) Verification, 3) Interpretation, and 4) Historiography.Data were collected
through observation, interviews, documentation and literature study. Data
analysis used in this research is data reduction, data presentation, and verification.
The result of this study is that the beginning of people knowing transmigration to
know Nahdlatul Ulama was when they were still on the island of Java, this was
marked by the implementation of amaliyah in accordance with the habits of
Nahdliyin residents. The role of the community in the development of Nahdlatul
Ulama is in the process of forming Nahdlatul Ulama as an organization, another
role is in da'wah and the establishment of Nahdlatul Ulama-based educational institutions.
The development of Nahdlatul Ulama from 1981 to 2019 was quite rapid,
this can be seen from the existing activities and programs. The challenges in
the development of Nahdlatul Ulama are in terms of administration, and the influence
of globalization. The impact of the existence of Nahdlatul Ulama in the
transmigration area on the community, namely in the fields of education, social
culture, and youth.
