This study discusses about style of language in the Beti family short film on Arif Muhammad's
Youtube Channel. The problems in this study are (1) the type of language style used in the Beti
family short film and (2) the meaning or meaning of the language style used in the Beti family
short film. The purpose of this study is to describe and explain the type of language style and the
meaning of language style used in the Beti family short film. This type of research is qualitative.
The method used in this research is descriptive. The data sources in this study were obtained
from 8 Beti family short films. data analysis technique used data collection analysis, data
reduction, data presentation, and concluded the research results. Based on the data, there were
63 language styles in 8 Beti family short film videos, while 17 types of comparative language
styles include simile (2), metaphor (2), personification (5), and correction (1). Contradictory
language styles include hyperbole (17), irony (2), satire (6), innuendo (2), paradox (1), climax
(1), cynicism (6), sarcasm (5), and antithesis (2). Linking language styles include metonymy (3)
and euphemism (3). Repetitive language style includes repetition (4) and pleonasm/tautology
(1).
