Uji Beberapa Konsentrasi Pseudomonad Fluorescens Terhadap Penyakit Layu Bakteri Oleh Ralstonia Solanacearum Pada Tanaman Jahe Merah (Zingiber Officinale Var. Rubrum)
ABSTRACT
Red ginger (Zingiber officinale var. Rubrum) is a plant that has many
benefits has resulted in an increasing demand for red ginger. The research aims to
obtain the concentration of Pseudomonad fluorescens which is capable to control
bacterial wilt disease caused by Ralstonia solanacearum of red ginger (Zingiber
officinale var. Rubrum). The research was conducted at the Laboratory of Plant
Disease and at the Experimental Garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, Riau
University, Pekanbaru starting from December 2020 to April 2021. Research has
been conducted experimentally using a completely randomized design (CRD)
consisting of 4 treatments and 5 replications. The treatment used is Pseudomonad
fluorescens concentrations, which are : without giving Pseudomonad fluorescens
(K0), the concentration of Pseudomonad fluorescens 107 cfu.ml-1 (K1), the
concentration of Pseudomonad fluorescens 108 cfu.ml-1 (K2) and the
concentration of Pseudomonad fluorescens 109 cfu.ml-1 (K3). The data were
statistically analyzed using analysis of variance (ANOVA), followed by Tukey’s
HSD Test at the level of 5%. The results showed that the concentration of
Pseudomonad fluorescens at 109 cfu.ml-1 capable to inhibit the appearance of
bacterial wilt disease symptoms and reducing the intensity of R. solanacearum
infection on red ginger. The concentration of Pseudomonad fluorescens at 109
cfu.ml-1 is able to stimulate a better plant growth which increase the first shoots
appear, number of shoots, plant height and number of leaves.
