Pengaruh Kompos Tandan Kosong Kelapa Sawit Dan Pupuk Npk Terhadap Pertumbuhan Tanaman Terung Ungu (Solanum Melongena L.)
ABSTRACT
Oil palm empty fruit bunch compost can improve soil structure, increase
plant nutrient reserves and increase soil organic matter content. Compost aims to
improve fertility and soil structure which is decreasing due to excessive use of
chemical fertilizers. This study aims to determine the interaction effect of oil palm
empty fruit bunches compost and NPK on increasing the growth of eggplant
(Solanum melongena L.) and to get the best dose of oil palm empty bunches
compost and NPK. This research was conducted in the Experimental Garden of
the Faculty of Agriculture, Riau University. The study was carried out for 3
months, from February to April 2021. This research was carried out
experimentally using a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) in factorial form.
The first factor is compost of oil palm empty fruit bunches and the second factor
is NPK fertilizer (16:16:16). The results showed that oil palm empty fruit bunches
(TKKS) and NPK only affected the parameters of the number of branches and had
no effect on the parameters of plant height, stem diameter, leaf area and flowering
age. The best treatment was the provision of 15 ton.ha-1 EFB and NPK treatment
of 30 g per plant. The main effect of the best dose of oil palm empty fruit bunches
(TKKS) is the dose of 15 ton.ha-1 EFB. The main effect of the best dose of NPK
was the administration of a dose of NPK 30 g per plant.
