Kontribusi Konsep Diri Dan Kecerdasan Emosional Terhadap Komitmen Kerja Guru MTS, Kecamatan Bagan Sinembah, Rokan Hilir
Teachers are one of the elements in the field of education who must play an active role and place their position as professionals in accordance with the demands of a growing society. The teacher is a resource element that greatly determines the success of education in schools, because the teacher is a human element that is very closely related to students in daily education efforts at school.
A teacher is said to be a professional who must have a high work commitment in the organization, in this case it is characterized by a strong desire to remain a member of the organization, accept organizational goals, and strive to advance the organization. Therefore, a teacher really contributes greatly in playing his role as best as possible based on a commitment to his work. Teachers at work must have a high sense of responsibility and dedication to the work itself and to the work environment. The teacher will work with a full sense of responsibility and have a high dedication if the teacher has organizational commitment.
In general, teacher work commitment in the organization is described as a state of the extent to which a teacher is involved in tasks that make a major contribution to the performance in question in the form of responsibilities and responses to various jobs and services in school organizations. The work commitment of teachers in organizations that have not been maximized can be influenced by several factors. The first factor identified as influencing teacher work commitment is self-concept. Self-concept affects the attitudes, thoughts and actions of a teacher, as well as moods such as feeling happy and feeling satisfied. Some argue that the level of satisfaction that people get from work is proportional to the degree to which they are able to implement their self-concept.
Then it is not only self-concept that is identified that can affect teacher work commitment but can also be influenced by personal factors which include emotional stability in the environment or emotional intelligence. One of the characteristics of people who have emotional intelligence is empathy. Empathy is the ability to understand the feelings of others or the ability to feel what other people feel.
The formulation of the problem in this study is (1) What is the contribution of self-concept to the work commitment of teachers at Mts, Bagan Sinembah District, Rokan Hilir? (2 Is there a contribution of emotional intelligence to the work commitment of Mts teachers in Bagan Sinembah District, Rokan Hilir? and (3) Is there a joint contribution of self-concept and emotional intelligence to the work commitment of Mts teachers in Bagan Sinembah District, Rokan Hilir?
Based on the formulation of the problem, the purpose of this study is to analyze (1) the contribution between self-concept and work commitment of teachers at Mts, Bagan Sinembah District, Rokan Hilir. (2) the contribution of emotional intelligence to the work commitment of teachers at Mts, Bagan Sinembah District, Rokan Hilir; and (3) the joint contribution of self-concept and

emotional intelligence to the work commitment of teachers at Mts, Bagan Sinembah District, Rokan Hilir.
The research approach used in this research is a quantitative research approach. This study will explain the relationship between independent variables and dependent variables and look for whether or not there is a relationship pattern or influence between self-concept variables and emotional intelligence on teacher work commitment. Then the population in this study were all teachers of Mts, Bagan Sinembah District, Rokan Hilir as many as 120 teachers. Based on the calculation results, the sample set in this study amounted to 93 teachers. The data analysis technique used in this research is descriptive statistical analysis and inferential statistical analysis.
The results of this study indicate that (1) there is a significant and positive contribution between the Self-Concept variables on the Work Commitment of MTS Teachers in Bagan Sinembah District, Rokan Hilir; (2) there is a significant and positive contribution between emotional intelligence on the Work Commitment of MTS Teachers in Bagan Sinembah District, Rokan Hilir; and (3) there is a jointly significant and positive contribution between the variables of self-concept and emotional intelligence.
