Pengaruh Media Tanam Dan Pupuk Hayati Terhadap Pertumbuhan Dan Hasil Jahe Merah (Zingiber Officinale Rosc. Var. Rubrum)
ABSTRACT
This research aims to find out the influence of planting media, the
influence of biological fertilizers, and the interaction between planting media and
biological fertilizers on the growth and yield of red ginger plants, as well as to
obtain the composition of planting media and the number of applications of the
best biological fertilizers for the growth and yield of red ginger plants. This study
was conducted experimentally arranged according to a complete randomized
design (CRD) factorial consisting of two factors. The first factor is the planting
medium which consists of three levels, namely: Soil Inceptisol: Sand (2:1), Soil
Inceptisol: Manure (2:1), and Soil Inceptisol : Manure : Sand (2:1:1). The second
factor is the application of biological fertilizer which consists of four levels,
namely: zero times, once, twice, and three times. The parameters observed include
the age of buds, plant height, number of leaves, leaf length, leaf width, number of
samplings, wet weight of rhizomes and dry weight of rhizomes. The results
showed that a single factor of planting media had a real effect on plant height, leaf
count, number of samplings, wet weight of rhizomes, and dry weight of red ginger
rhizome, while a single factor of biological fertilizer had no real effect on every
observation parameter. The interaction of differences in the composition of
planting media and the application of biological fertilizers has a real effect on the
wet weight of red ginger rhizomes. The combination of the composition of
inceptisol soil planting media + manure + sand (2:1:1) and the application of
biological fertilizers with the provision once, twice, and three times provides the
best results for the growth and yield of red ginger.
