ABSTRACT
The library includes a room, a separate building containing books, newspapers,
magazines, journals, proceedings that are arranged in such a way that it is easy
to find and use, if at any time the reader is needed. The library of SMK Telkom
Pekanbaru is located in Simpang Baru Village-Tampan District, Pekanbaru City-
Riau Province. In its management, this library still uses manual services. To
assist in the library management process, a Web-based Library Information
System was created. The method used in the design of this Information System is
the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), the system development model used
is Waterfall and PHP is the programming language used to write programs. This
research produces an information system that can assist in the process of
managing access to information and maintaining library data. Initially, the
library of SMK Telkom Pekanbaru was managed manually in hardcopy form.
Now, using the database system, all library data can be stored in the database
and reports can be printed if needed and the system will provide notifications
regarding the schedule for returning books via WhatsApp Gateway.
