Implementasi Pembelajaran Berbasis Proyek-Stem Pada Materi Rangkaian Listrik Untuk Meningkatkan Kemampuan Berpikir Tingkat Tinggi Siswa SMP
The learning that is being carried out now must be able to create students who can
follow the development of science and technology in the 21st century. One of the lessons that
must be applied to create students who can compete in the 21st century is learning that is
oriented to higher order thinking skills, so that students can train the ability to think and reason
to find solutions to answer complex problems that will come. one of the learnings that are
oriented to high order thinking skills is project-based learning-STEM (Pjbl-STEM). The purpose
of this study was to describe students' higher-order thinking skills by implementing STEMproject-
based learning on electrical circuit material and to test whether there are differences in
students' higher-order thinking skills in classes that apply project-based learning-STEM with
classes that apply conventional learning. The research was conducted at As-shofa Islamic Junior
High School Pekanbaru. The sample used was 49 students. The type of research used is a quasiexperimental
research design with a non-equivalent post-test only control group . The data
collection method was carried out by giving tests with research instruments in the form of
questions of higher order thinking skills on the indicators of analyzing, evaluating and creating.
The results showed that the difference in the average class by applying Pjbl-STEM and the class
applying conventional learning had a positive value of 16.03 and there is a significant difference
between classes that apply Pjbl-STEM and classes that apply conventional learning.
