Pengaruh Tingkat Pendidikan Dan Tingkat Pendapatan Orang Tua Terhadap Minat Melanjutkan Pendidikan Keperguruan Tinggi Siswa Kelas XII Ma Muhammadiyah Pekanbaru

Educating the life of the nation is the goal of national education that is to be achived by the Indonesian nation in accordance with UUD 1945 alenia 4th. The goal of high school is to prepare learners to continue their education to the higher education level. Students interest continuing education to a higher education level is diverse. There is someone who has high interest, moderate, low or even absolutely not interest in continuing their education. Research observations show that the participation of MA Muhammadiyah Pekanbaru students applying to collage is low. This show that the goal of high school to prepare students to enter college is not achieved optimall in MA Muhammadiyah Pekanbaru. This research used quantitative descriptive analysis methods. Data Collecting using questionnaires used to collect data on parents’ education, parents income and interest in continuing education to college students qq12th MA Muhammadiyah Pekanbaru.The research hypotheses using analysis path methods. Based on the results of the research hypothesis testing, there is a significant indirect influence on the level of education of parents on the interest in continuing education to college through the income of parents of 12th grader MA Muhammadiyah Pekanbaru.This means that students who have parents with good education then their parents’ income is also good and will affect the interest in continuing their education to college.
