This research is entitled the ability to write an official letter for seventh grade students of SMP Negeri 4 Dayun, Siak Regency. The purpose of this study was to describe the level of ability to write official letters for seventh grade students of SMP Negeri 4 Dayun, Siak Regency. The data of this research is the result of the test of the ability to write official letters for 7th grade students of SMP Negeri 4 Dayun, Siak Regency, which is divided into two classes and consists of 60 populations with a sample of 57 students. The results of the study after testing using Microsoft Excel, the ability to write official letters with a total score of 28. The ability to write official letters for 7th grade students of SMP Negeri 4 Dayun, Siak Regency is classified as moderate.
