ABSTRACT
Regional development in an area will cause the need for water to continue to
increase along with the rate of population growth. The importance of knowing the
need for clean water in the future includes knowing the condition of the
availability of raw water sources and clean water service facilities so that the
community's clean water needs can be met. This study analyzes and predicts the
amount of water demand and water availability in the future in Dumai City.
Dumai City is a city that has a very high population growth and urban
development in recent years. Therefore, it needs to be taken into account so that
there will be no shortage of clean water in the future. From the results of the
study, it is known that the demand for clean water for the domestic sector in
Dumai City in the predicted condition (2039) is 0.55 m3/sec. The demand for
clean water for the non-domestic sector in Dumai City in the predicted condition
(2039) is 0.03 m3/sec. And the total demand for clean water in the City of Dumai
in the predicted condition (2039) is 0.58 m3/sec. And as for the availability of the
mainstay water debit of the Mosque River, which is 110.72 m3/sec.
