Gaya Kepemimpinan Bupati Mahasiswa Dalam Kegiatan Pada Himpunan Mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Masyarakat Fkip Universitas Riau

This research aims to describe the situation and social conditions of activities at the Student Association of the Community Education Study Program, FKIP University of Riau, as well as to describe the leadership style of the Regent of the Student Community Education Study Program, FKIP University of Riau. This research method is descriptive qualitative research. There were 7 informants in this study, consisting of the Head of each Division in the Student Association of the Community Education Study Program, FKIP University of Riau. Data collection techniques using observation, interviews and documentation. While the analysis in this study includes data reduction, data presentation, conclusion drawing, and triangulation. The results of the research indicate that the leadership style shown by the Regent of Students is to provide clear regulations, demand to comply with regulations, apply regulations through understanding, provide opportunities for thinking, and invite dialogue. This leadership style shows a democratic leadership style. While the autocratic leadership style which is shown by imposing the will, deciding the rules strictly/clearly, deciding unilaterally, demanding full obedience, and not providing the opportunity for dialogue (implementing one-way communication) is not seen in the results of this study. Likewise, the laissez faire leadership style which is shown by giving unclear freedom, giving less control, providing little guidance, letting more, and giving less advice is also not seen in the results of this research.
