Analisa Performansi Teknik Modulasi Differential Phase-Shift Keying (Dpsk) Dan Continuous Phase Frequency Shift Keying (Cpfsk) Pada Sistem Sub Carrier Multiplexing (Scm) / Wavelength Division Multiplexing (Wdm) Radio Over Fiber (Rof) Untuk Aplikasi Backhaul Microwave
ABSTRACT
To meet the needs of high-speed communication services, we need a network with
a larger bandwidth capacity and a faster network. One solution to this problem is
to use a band that operates in the microwave frequency to avoid spectral
congestion in the lower frequency band and offer higher bandwidth. However, by
applying the method, the increase in frequency on the other hand will contribute
to higher equipment, installation and maintenance costs. The development of
Radio Over Fiber (ROF) technology is carried out with the aim of eliminating
these problems. and deliver high capacity, high data rates, and mobility solutions.
In this study, a SCM/WDM ROF system model has been designed for microwave
backhaul applications. This system model uses DPSK and CPFSK techniques to
modulate the information signal. In designing this system model, research
scenarios will be carried out in the form of iterations of transmission distance,
power input, and number of SCM channels. The simulation results will be
displayed in the BER, Q-Factor, and Eye Diagram of each modulation technique.
The simulation results on the maximum transmission distance iteration show that
the CPFSK modulation technique can reach 34 km, while the DPSK modulation
technique is 24 km. The simulation results at the minimum input power iteration
show that the CPFSK modulation technique can reach -5 dBm, while the DPSK
modulation technique is -3 dBm. The simulation results on the maximum number
of SCM channel iterations show that the CPFSK modulation technique can reach
70 channels, while the DPSK modulation technique is 62 channels. The
simulation results on the design of the SCM/WDM ROF system model indicate
that the CPFSK modulation technique provides better network performance than
the DPSK modulation technique.
