Aktivitas Antibakteri Dari Fraksi Ekstrak Anggur Laut (Caulerpa Sp.) Terhadap Bakteri Pseudomonas Aeruginosa Dan Staphylococcus Aureus
ABSTRACT
This study aims to determine the bioactive components of the sea grape
(Caulerpa sp.) fraction qualitatively and to determine its antibacterial activity using
the well method. In the extraction process, the solvent used is methanol with a ratio
of sample: solvent 1:3(w/v). While solvent fraction is used there are 3 types, namely
n-hexane, ethyl acetate and butanol with a ratio of sample: solvent 1:1(w/v). The C.
lentillifera fraction had n-hexane 0.42%, ethyl acetate 0.33% and butanol 0.31%. The
bioactive compounds contained in Caulerpa sp. are alkaloids, flavonoids,
steroids/terpenoids and phenolics. Caulerpa sp. fraction with different solvents can
inhibit the growth of antibacterial activity against Pseudomonas aeruginosa and
Staphylococcus aureus bacteria. The inhibitory power of the Caulerpa sp. fraction
with different solvents against Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Staphylococcus aureus
was 11.8 ± 0.35 mm in Pseudomonas aeruginosa with ethyl acetate and
Staphylococcus aureus fractions was 13.85 ± 0.85 mm in the n-hexane fraction.
