Perbandingan Dua Populasi Kedelai [Glycine Max (L.) Merril] Galur-Galur F7 Hasil Persilangan Grobogan X Km 19 Dan Grobogan X Km 25
ABSTRACT
Low productivity of soybean in Indonesia is due to unsuitable
environmental and improper cultural practices. To increase the productivity could
be carried out by the improving existing soybean varieties and developing new
varieties. The objective of this study was to compare the potential yield of two
populations of F7 lines and determine the character which can be used as an
alternative selection criteria to select new high yielding genotypes. The field
experiment was conducted in the Factulty of Agriculture Experiment Station, Riau
University located in Pekanbaru from April to July 2021. Nineteen genotypes
consisting of eight F7 lines from crosses of Grobogan x KM 19, eight F7 lines
from crosses of Grobogan x KM 25, and their three parents were each planted in a
3 m by 2 m plot with 3 replications. The data analysis obtained from this study
were performed by SAS software starting from analysis of variance and then
followed by the Dunnet test at the 5% level. The result indicated that there was
significant differences among F7 genotypes and their parents on several
charakters including yield components and grain yield per m2. According to the ttest
to compare the two populations there were no significant differences for the
11 observed characters. Furthermore, there were positive correlation between
filled pods number per plant to seed number per plant and seed weight per plant.
Possitive correlations were also found between grain yield per m-2 to plant height,
number of seed per plant and seed weight per plant. The stepwise regression
analysis showed that among 11 characters observed, only four traits were suitable
predictor of grain yield per area including total pods number, fileed pod number,
seed number per plant and seed weight per plant.
