Introduction: Providing health counseling through audiovisual can attract attention and convince women of childbearing age to increase their knowledge and attitudes in early detection of cervical cancer. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of health counseling through audiovisual on the knowledge and attitudes of women of childbearing age. Methods: This study used a quasi experiment design with a non-equivalent control group design. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling as many as 34 respondents who were divided into 17 control group respondents and 17 experimental group respondents. Data analysis used was univariate and bivariate analysis using Paired Sample T-Test and Independent Sample T-Test. Results: The majority of respondents aged >35-45 years, namely 19 respondents (55.9%), high school education level 18 respondents (52.9%), occupation of respondents housewives as many as 19 respondents (55.9%), mostly multiparous, namely 29 respondents (85.3%). The results of statistical tests showed that there was an effectiveness of health counseling about cervical cancer through audiovisual on the knowledge and attitudes of WUS in early detection of cervical cancer with p value (0.000) < α (0.05). Conclusion: Health counseling about cervical cancer through audiovisual is effective on the knowledge and attitude of WUS.
