Sistem Pendukung Keputusan Penentuan Penerima Beasiswa Kip-K Di Universitas Riau Menggunakan Metode Mabac
Education is the key to addressing social and economic disparities, yet challenges remain, especially in developing countries. Many families face economic barriers in funding their children's education. To address this, the Indonesian government provides the Smart Indonesia Card - Higher Education (KIP-K) scholarship for underprivileged students. This study highlights the implementation of a decision support system (DSS) for determining KIP-K and Higher Education PIP scholarship recipients, using the Multi-Attributive Border Approximation Area Comparison (MABAC) method. The DSS is designed with Unified Modeling Language (UML) tools such as Use Case Diagrams, Class Diagrams, Activity Diagrams, and Sequence Diagrams to ensure requirements are met. Implementation involved carefully building the system interface and conducting black box testing to verify effectiveness. The data used comprised 247 student records from Riau University in 2023, processed using 8 criteria: KIP Number, KKS Status, P3KE Status, DTKS Number, Father's Income, Mother's Income, Number of Dependents, and Achievements. Results showed the highest value of 0.402826348 and the lowest value of -0.136459367, demonstrating the success of the MABAC method. The DSS for determining KIP-K scholarship recipients at Riau University was designed and implemented optimally, ensuring reliability and accuracy in decision-making.
