A Study On The English Vocabulary Achievement Of The Third Grade Students Of MAN 3 Pekanbaru

The Objective of this research is to find out the English vocabulary achievement level of the third grade students in MAN 3 Pekanbaru. The sample of this research was third grade students of MAN 3 Pekanbaru, which consisted of 60 students. The data was collected using vocabulary test namely multiple choice test. The results of this research showed that there were 60 students who participated in this research. From 60 students, six students (8.3%) were classified as excellent, seventeen students (28.3%) were classified as good, seventeen students (28.3%) were classified as average, and twenty students (33.3%) were classified as poor. The average percentage of the students’ achievement in English Vocabulary is 65.46%. It means that the students’ achievement in English Vocabulary is at average category. Therefore, it can be concluded that the vocabulary achievement has an average level.
