Campur Kode Dalam Series Film Netflix Gadis Kretek: Kajian Sosiolinguistik

This study aims to analyse the phenomenon of code-mixing in Gadis Kretek film series released in 2023. This phenomenon is analysed in the context of sociolinguistics, focusing on the use of code-mixing that occurs in dialogue between characters. The research method used is descriptive qualitative, with data collected through listening and note-taking techniques on dialogues in five episodes of the series. The results show that the dominant code mixing is inner code mixing, which involves Indonesian and local languages, especially Javanese. In addition, there is also outer code mixing involving foreign languages, such as English and Dutch. Factors causing code mixing in this series include speaker, interlocutor, and situation factors. The use of code mixing reflects the social and cultural identity of the characters, as well as creating conversational dynamics that reflect the diversity of languages in Indonesia.
