Identifikasi Tumbuhan Potensial Untuk Reklamasi Areal Pascatambang Batu Bara Di Pt Bara Prima Pratama Site Selensen
ABSTRACT
The production forest area used for coal mining has been damaged by mining activities using open pit mining methods, which resulted in damage to the land surface and loss of biodiversity. The existence of reclamation and revegetation activities helps in land recovery efforts. The objectives of this study were to identify the types of pioneer plants and analyze the level of diversity of pioneer plant community types that can grow on post-coal mining land at PT Bara Prima Pratama Selensen Site. Primary data were obtained by direct observation in the field, namely making sample plots and observing the type, height, diameter, lbds of pioneer plant species as well as data on air temperature and humidity, using a combination method of paths with plotted lines in the form of a square measuring 20 x 20 meters and divided into smaller plots, then plant data were analyzed by the INP formula and Shannon-Wiener species diversity to determine the most potential plant species. Secondary data obtained from the company such as age and area of post-mining land. The results of the study obtained 17 species of understory plants and 24 species of potential pioneer trees that can live in coal post-mining land. The highest INP value of plants in the three observation locations came from the Poaceae, Melastomataceae, Fabaceae, Moraceae, Araliaceae and Myrtaceae families. The diversity value of understory plant communities and tree plant communities in post-coal mining land is categorized as medium diversity.
