Nilai-Nilai Pendidikan Karakter Pada Pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia Yang Berbasis Nilai-Nilai Karakter Dalam Cerita Rakyat Batang Tuaka
This study aims to describe the character education values contained in the folk tale Batang Tuaka. Originating from Batang Tuaka Subdistrict, Indragiri Hilir Regency, Riau, the story tells of a boy named Tuaka who disrespects his mother and eventually suffers the consequences of his actions. This research employed a qualitative descriptive approach using content analysis of the Batang Tuaka folk tale text. The results indicate that the story contains nine character education values: courage, empathy, hard work, precision, resilience, deliberation, responsibility, religiosity, and awareness. These values reflect the local community’s worldview and can serve as a medium for moral education and the preservation of local culture.
