Analisis Soal Hots (Higher Order Thinking Skill) Ujian Bahasa Indonesia Siswa Kelas IX SMP Negeri 6 Bathin Solapan
Abstract: This research is a combination research type (mix method) with the title of HOTS (Higher Order Thinking Skill) question analysis of Indonesian Language Exam for Grade IX Students of SMP Negeri 6 Bathin Solapan. This research describes the validity and reliability, difficulty, discrimination power, distractor effectiveness, HOTS question percentage, and HOTS question analysis based on the cognitive domain of Bloom's Taxonomy revised by Andershon & Krathwholl. Based on the results of quantitative research, it is known that the results show that 75% of the questions are valid, reliability is 0.729 (high), 65% of the questions are at a moderate level of difficulty (less than ideal), and 65% of the questions have good discrimination power. The results of qualitative classification, 21 questions (52.5%) are included in the HOTS category. HOTS questions dominate, but from a psychometric perspective, not all of them meet ideal criteria, demonstrating the close relationship between quantitative and qualitative analysis. The cognitive substance of an item (HOTS) must be aligned with the item's technical quality. Quantitative analysis provides an objective basis for statistically assessing item quality, while qualitative analysis provides in-depth interpretation of the item's content and cognitive demands.
