Abstract: This study aims to determine the effect of the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) cooperative learning model on the understanding of biographical text material of class X students at SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Pekanbaru. The TGT model combines elements of group work and fun academic competition, so it is expected to increase student engagement and understanding. This study used a quasi-experimental method with a pretest-posttest control group design.
