Teaching hospitals play a crucial role in providing healthcare services while supporting medical education through clinical training. This study aims to explore patients' perceptions and acceptance of the roles of teaching hospitals and medical students at RSUD Arifin Achmad Pekanbaru. Using a descriptive design and mixed-method explanatory approach, data were collected through questionnaires and in-depth interviews, and analyzed using descriptive statistics and thematic analysis. The results showed that patients have a very positive perception of the role of teaching hospitals (100%) and medical students, particularly in supporting the education of healthcare professionals. Patients’ acceptance of the presence of medical students during consultations and diagnostics reached 100%, although it declined for physical examinations (80.3%) and medical procedures (75%) due to concerns about students' skills and privacy. Overall, patients support the presence of teaching hospitals and the involvement of medical students, though improved communication, supervision, and training are necessary to maintain patients' trust and enhance the quality of services.
