Pemberian Kompos Tandan Kosong Kelapa Sawit Dan Kalsium Terhadap Pertumbuhan Dan Produksi Tanaman Kacang Tanah (Arachis Hypogaea L.)
ABSTRACT
Peanuts (Arachis hypogaea L.) are leguminous plants belonging to the Fabaceae family and have economic value. Peanut production in Indonesia and Riau is still unable to meet the needs of the community. Efforts to increase peanut productivity inculde the use of organic fertilizer from empty fruit bunch (EFB) compost and appropriate calcium. The purpose of research aims to determine the interaction between the use of EFB compost and calcium, the factors influencing the use of EFB compost and calcium, and to identify the best combination of EFB compost and calcium doses for peanut plant growth and production. This research used a factorial completely randomized design (CRD). The first factor the dose of EFB compost which consists of 3 levels, namely: T0 = 0 ton/ha, T1 = 6 ton/ha, and T2 = 12 ton/ha, and the second factor is the dose of calcium which consists of 4 levels: Ca0 = 0 kg/ha, Ca1 = 100 kg/ha, Ca2 = 200 kg/ha, and Ca3 = 300 kg/ha. From these two factors, 12 treatment combinations were obtained and each was repeated 3 times to obtain 36 experimental units. The research result showed that the interaction between the application of EFB compost and calcium had no significant effect on all parameters. The application of EFB compost and calcium can increase plant height, number of pod per plant, pod weight per plant, number of seeds per plant, seed weight per plant, seed weight per plot, and weight of 100 seeds. The combination of EFB compost treatment at dose 12 ton/ha and calcium at dose 300 kg/ha is the best treatment combination.
