Analisis Kualitas Jaringan Dalam Aplikasi Absensi Karyawan Berdasarkan Posisi Wifi Di Rumah Makan Taragung Pekanbaru
ABSTRACT
Network quality is a crucial factor in supporting the performance of face
recognition–based attendance systems, which require real-time data transmission.
Rumah Makan Taragung Pekanbaru has implemented this system; however, no
prior analysis has been conducted regarding the quality of the network based on
the placement of Access Points (AP). This study aims to analyze the Quality of
Service (QoS) at several AP locations and determine the most optimal AP position
to support the attendance process. The research uses a descriptive quantitative
method by measuring QoS parameters including Delay, Jitter, Throughput, and
Packet Loss, evaluated using the TIPHON standard. Testing was carried out for
five days at ten AP positions using Wireshark during morning attendance sessions.
The results show that all locations have very low delay and 0% packet loss, but
significant differences appear in throughput, which affects the QoS category. Point
A (Food Display Area) and Point B (Near Cashier) obtained the highest index score
of 3.75 (Excellent category), and are therefore recommended as the best AP
positions. These findings confirm that AP placement significantly affects network
performance, and proper AP positioning is required to maintain the stability of the
face recognition attendance system.
