Uji Boraks Pada Jajanan Anak Sekolah Dasar Di Kelurahan Kampung Dalam, Kampung Bandar Dan Kampung Baru Kecamatan Senapelan Pekanbaru

Nowdays Borax is often misused as Food Additives on students elementary school’s snacks. Whereas boraks is the prohibited preservative and dangerous for human body especially for health. The impacts of using boraks in students elementary school’s snacks is can caused the acute and chronic effects for human body. The purpose of this experiment is to find out there is or not boraks on students elementary school’s snacks in kelurahan Kampung Dalam, Kampung Bandar dan Kampung Baru kecamatan senapelan pekanbaru. This experiment conducted by using flame test method and curcumin paper test. The results of this experiment showed that 2 from 25 samples examined is contain boraks that found on SDN 20 and SDN 18 location in kelurahan kampung baru by using flame test and positive curcumin.Based on this experiment, there isstill boraks used in school especially in SDN 20 and SDN 18. We hope the seller and the parent of the children will be more careful.
