ABSTRACT
Concrete is a very important and most dominant construction material used in
structural components. These structural components make for the use high strength
concrete which includes strength, durability, service life and efficiency. This study
aims to determine how much influence MasterSure® 1007 chemicals have on the
mechanical behavior of concrete, how they affect the workability and compressive
strength of concrete. Admixture MasterSure® 1007 is a type of chemical additive
that functions as a water reducer and superplasticizer, using low FAS without
reducing the quality of the concrete. Before this research was carried out, the
authors tested the properties of fine aggregate and coarse aggregate and planned the
composition of the concrete mixture using the DOE (Department of Environment)
method according to SNI 03-2834-2000. To find out the reduction in water used,
the author conducted an initial test of the normal concrete mixture with the addition
of MasterSure® 1007 as much as 1,65% of the cement weight and obtained a 25%
reduction in water to produce the expected visual. In this study, the test object was
a concrete cylinder. with a diameter of 15 cm and a height of 30 cm as many as 64
pieces, each variation has 8 samples where concrete testing was carried out at the
age of 7, namely 3 samples and at the age of 28 days as many as 5 samples. There
was an increase in the addition of MasterSure® 1007 which was 0,55%; 0,83%;
1,1%; 1,38%; 1,65%; 1,93% and 2,2% of the weight of cement used with the largest
percentage increase 92,91% with the addition of MasterSure® 1007 substances as
much as 1,38% of the weight of cement used and produces a quality of 62.56 MPa.
