Analisis Laju Erosi Dan Sedimentasi Lahan Pada Das Batang Kuranji Kota Padang

ABSTRACT
Batang Kuranji is one of the watersheds in the city of Padang. In fact, in the
upstream part of the Kuranji watershed, land use/degradation has begun.
Changes in land use can lead to high surface runoff, which later can cause
disasters such as floods, landslides and land erosion. Land erosion produces fine
particles that are carried away by the flow then settles at the bottom of the river
into sediment. Therefore, research is carry out aims to calculate the erosion
potential using the MUSLE and amount of erosion that enters the river using the
NDVI and SDR methods. Based on the results of the study, the erosion potential in
the Kuranji watershed was 3371,065 tons/ha/year. The number of erosion that
enters the river using the SDR method is about 23.20% of the potential erosion
that occurs, while if using the NDVI method, the value is 16.95%.
