Pengaruh Jumlah Uang Beredar (M2), Foreign Direct Investment, Dan Portfolio Investment Terhadap Nilai Tukar Rupiah Atas Dolar Amerika Serikat Di Indonesia Periode 1998-2020
This research aims to find out the effect of money supply (M2), foreign direct investment, and portfolio investment on the rupiah exchange rate for United States Dollars in indonesia period 1998-2020.
The data used in this research is annual data from 1998 to 2020. The method used is quantitative with data analysis using multiple linear regression analysis with the Ordinary Least Square (OLS) approach which is processed using Eviews 10.
The results of this research indicate that the Money Supply (M2), Foreign Direct Investment, and Portfolio Investment simultaneously has a positive and significant effect on the Rupiah Exchange Rate. Partially, the Money Supply (M2) has a positive and significant effect on the Rupiah Exchange Rate, Foreign Direct Investment has a negative and significant effect on the Rupiah Exchange Rate, and Portfolio Investment has a positive and insignificant effect on the Rupiah Exchange Rate. Variations of factors that affect the Rupiah Exchange Rate are explained in the Amount of Money Supply (M2), Foreign Direct Investment, and Portfolio Investment simultaneously have an effect of 85.6% (Adjusted R-squared = 0.856025). While the remaining 14.40% is influenced by other variables that are not used in this research model.
