Analisis Kemiskinan Di Kabupaten Bengkalis

The problem of poverty is the focus of all regions in Indonesia, even though the
region has a high income, it does not mean that the problem of poverty is not something
that needs to be ignored.
Poverty conditions in Bengkalis district are 6.40% but this condition is not far
below poverty in Riau Province, but when compared to poverty conditions in Indonesia in
2020 of 10.19% of course when viewed from the poverty rate in Bengkalis Regency is
very far below poverty However, it is still necessary to know that the contribution of
Bengkalis Regency's regional income is the largest for Riau, besides that it is also
included in the 10 regions with the highest income in Indonesia. This study aims to
analyze poverty in Bengkalis Regency. The method of data analysis was carried out by
the SEM analysis method.
Based on the results of the study, it is known that education has a significant
effect on the direction of the negative relationship to poverty in Bengkalis Regency. This
means that when education increases, it will reduce poverty. Regional Original Income
(PAD) has no significant effect on poverty through education in Bengkalis Regency. This
means that when local revenue (PAD) has increased, it has not been able to affect the
level of education which ultimately mediates poverty. Capital Expenditure has no
significant effect on poverty through education in Bengkalis Regency. Health has a
significant effect on poverty through education in Bengkalis Regency. This means that
improving health affects the level of education where it will encourage an increase in
productivity so that it can affect the poverty rate.
