ABTRACT
This study aims to determine the magnitude of the economic value of river water utilization as a source of clean water for the Unit Pelaksana Teknis Dinas Pengelola Air Bersih (UPTD-PAB) in Rokan Village, Rokan IV Koto District, Rokan Hulu Regency. The population in this study were all users of PAB services in Rokan Village, Rokan IV Koto District in 2020 with a total of 81 Family Cards (KK). The sample in this study were 45 (KK). The sampling technique used the Taro Yamane formula, namely simple random sampling.. This study uses an analytical method, namely the Contingent Valuation Method approach with the concept of willingness to pay (WTP). The results of this study indicate that the description of the economic value of using reservoirs as a source of clean water for PAB in Rokan Village, Rokan IV Koto District is Rp.207,500/m3 and the average willingness to pay value of respondents is Rp.4,750/KK/m3. This average value can be used as a reference in the use of river water as a source of clean water for PAB in Rokan Village, Rokan IV Koto District. The average WTP value is Rp.4,750/KK/m3, which is higher than the PAB bid water rate, which is Rp.4,500/m3. This study shows that there is a high interest from respondents in the use of river water as a source of clean water for PAB.
