Pemodelan Hidrologi Menggunakan Model Hbv (Studi Kasus: Das Rokan Hulu Awlr Lubuk Bendahara)
ABSTRACT
Hydrological modeling is one of the important methods in supporting water resources management, especially in river basins (DAS) that have complex characteristics such as the Rokan Hulu DAS. This study aims to apply the HBV (Hydrologiska Byråns Vattenbalansavdelning) hydrological model using the HBV-Light software in modeling flow discharge in the Rokan Kiri Sub-DAS, Lubuk Bendahara AWLR Station, and compare the results with the HEC-HMS model that has been used in previous studies. This study uses daily rainfall, climatology and discharge data for the period 2007–2018. Evaluation of model effectiveness was carried out using the correlation coefficient (r), Nash-Sutcliffe Efficiency (NSE), Root Mean Square Error (RMSE), and Percent Error in Discharge Volume (PEV) parameters. The resultsshowed thattheHBV-Lightmodelproduced moreaccurate, consistent, and reliable discharge predictions than HEC-HMS. The HBV-Light model obtained excellent PEV values for all calibration and verification schemes, with a range of values from0.20%to 0.98%, while HEC-HMS showed varying PEV values and most of them were in the “Unsatisfactory” category. Scheme II at the calibration (2007–2008) and verification (2009–2018) stages was considered the most effective. Thus, the HBV-Light model is recommended as a more reliable approach for simulating river flow in tropical watersheds such as Rokan Hulu.
